She has a Masters degree in Medicinal and Natural Product Chemistry from the Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai and a PhD in Pharmaceutics and Drug Design from Duquesne University, USA.

 

Her research works extends from phytoconstituent chemistry to formulation design, solubility and dissolution rate enhancement and solid state characterization techniques. She has taught undergraduate pharmacy students during her PhD tenure and trained FDA staff on tableting procedures.

 

Working as the Head of Quality Assurance in a pharmaceutical consulting firm has enabled her to handle diverse projects involving health economic modeling, development of training programs, statistical analysis and other quality related activities. She has worked closely with clients of both local and global pharmaceutical companies.

 

Namita believes that learning new subject matter is a continuous process and strongly believes in rigorous research and effective communication to enable dissemination of her work to all stakeholders.
